Policies and Procedures
Children and Pets
We are parents and animal lovers, but, for our business, we are able to welcome children 12 years old and older, and we do not have rooms suitable for pets. If you travel with a pet, we are happy to recommend local boarding kennels.
Reservations
Advance reservations are recommended, especially if you have a preference for certain amenities or the best ocean view. Typically, we require a minimum of two nights, especially during busy times, but that can vary so a call or email with a single night request is advisable. A credit card number is required, and a deposit may be taken, to secure your reservation. Payment in full, with your choice of Visa, MasterCard or cash, will be taken upon arrival for your first night's stay. Rates quoted are based on double occupancy, and each guest room is equipped only for two guests maximum, except Camelot, which has a maximum of three.
Cancellations
Dashwood Manor is a family owned and operated bed and breakfast inn, with ten guest rooms featuring unique amenities, views and sizes. Since we do not have wings of similar rooms and cannot overbook as hotels often do, we rely on advance reservations to maintain a successful business.
Any cancellation made at least 14 days prior to arrival will result in an administrative charge of $40 plus tax. Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival will result in a charge of the full cost of one night's stay. Last minute cancellations (7 days or less) will result in a charge for the full length of the reserved stay. Credit will only be given for days rebooked at full rate.
This policy applies to reservations for single rooms for 1 to three nights. For group bookings or longer stays, please contact us for cancellation policies.
Cambridge
Relax in the spacious sitting area and enjoy Dashwood Manor's unparalleled views. Cambridge Room features a dramatic Cote D'Or Queen Bed, private bath with shower plus a two person Chromatherapy tub, a playful soaker that relaxes romantically with coloured lights.
Kensington
Fabulous queen four poster bed looks out to great ocean views. Cosy up on the loveseat, enjoying Kensington’s electric fireplace and special ambiance. This popular suite features a private bathroom with a jetted tub and shower combination.
Chelsea
The original master bedroom for the Lineham family. Arthur and Eleanor would have loved the king sized bed and corner, electric fireplace. Beautiful ensuite bathroom with restored original pedestal sink, air jetted tub and glassed shower.
Fairfield
Originally Benjamin Madigan’s room, Eleanor Lineham’s father, and a crusty old mariner he was! Solid queen bed in cherry wood, sitting area with stunning views to the ocean at Clover Point where Benjamin once landed ashore with his ship the SS Beaver.
Windsor Oak
Quarter-sawn oak walls, original custom built in cabinetry and ornate fireplace surround create a warm and very unique atmosphere in this romantic room. Cote D’Or queen bed, private bathroom with tub and shower plus a double jetted tub for those special, relaxing getaway times.
Oxford Grand
Incredible corner room with large picture windows looking out to the ocean in two directions. Beautiful, queen bed in exotic woods, sitting area looking out to the ocean, massive granite wood burning fireplace, double jetted tub.
Park Lane
Eugene Lineham’s spacious corner room with restful views to the woods of Beacon Hill Park as well as west to the ocean. Polished king bed in rich cherry, private bathroom with the original cast iron tub.
Somerset
Penthouse room with vaulted ceiling and private balcony. This queen room looks out to Beacon Hill Park and the ocean. Very large bathroom with Chromatherapy tub and separate walk in shower.
Camelot
Third floor, penthouse room looking directly to the ocean and Olympic Mountains. Views! Spacious room of over 750 square feet. Queen bed plus extra, single bed. Standard, private bathroom.
Tudor
Benjamin Madigan's other daughter's room. She loved it! Fabulous corner room with 7 windows making it airy and bright. Lovely ocean views. Queen bed, private bath, comfortable sitting area with two upholstered armchairs.
